Happy New Year!
Well, it is 2021. It has been three years since the seed of our idea was planted, and what a productive three years it has been, as well as unpredictable. None of us would have predicted that we would be in the middle of a global pandemic, or any of the other crazy things that happened in 2020. It was quite a ride. We sure had a lot of accomplishments as we continue our 99% booking rate, and 5 star status on AirBnB, soon to be Superhosts. We also added welcome packages with breakfast items and beverages for our guests and have more amenities planned! Our goal is to make sure you have an amazing, unique experience at every single one of our properties. We have some exciting media coverage coming up as well!
One of the most momentous things that happened for Lost River Vacations in 2020 is the beginning of house two’s build! House 2 is bigger and has two bedrooms, able to sleep 7 people, with a large hot tub and giant deck. We expect to open in early Spring 2021 if we can stay on schedule! We have all of our utilities completed and progress has been steady although challenged by extremely icy weather and snow.
Check out our tour of the hike to house 2 on our property in Lost River on Instagram below with a transcript in the description of the post for the signing-impaired.

What else did we accomplish in 2020 besides surviving a global pandemic and a construction materials shortage and approximate 300% price increase in said materials (fun times)…?!
Well, we built and installed our 9 hole disc golf course. We are still working on the trails and signage! Check out some photos from the house 2 build as well as the disc golf course build below!
Even though we have experienced many setbacks due to the global pandemic and the related impacts to our business and operations, we continue to focus on our forward momentum, and we are very excited to continue to expand. This expansion will allow us to do what we love most and expose as many people as we can to the beauty of the West Virginia wilderness, and how special and spectacular Lost River is. We are looking forward to a phenomenal 2021, and as always, are so grateful for your support.
Stay healthy, safe, and be kind to each other. Here’s to better days ahead.
